TODD AND CHRIS RUNDQUIST

How do I receive a cost estimate from WW
for a project I have in mind?
You can contact the “Owner, Designer, Developer, Dad” - Todd Rundquist
by phone (636)274-5133,
or email your questions. The initial contact helps Todd gain a better
understanding of exactly what you are looking for and gives you the
opportunity to ask him questions. Todd will then set up a time to meet
with you at the location you are wanting work done. He will listen to
your desires and share creative ideas with you. Thanks to experience, he
is often able to give you a fairly accurate bid at this initial
meeting. If you desire an itemized list of expenses, he will need your
address, email or fax and will send you a hard copy.
How much do projects usually cost and
how much time to build/create?
The size of the job, materials needed and labor cost all play a factor
in determining the cost of a project.
Modest projects can cost around $3,000 and usually are completed in a
day or two. Larger projects may take one, two or three weeks, depending
on the size, and the cost increases with these factors.
How long has WW been in business?
Although West Winds has been in business for 28 years, we have
specialized in waterfalls for over 16 years. Our first waterfall was
built in 1993 and the awards started coming in 1997 (see Home
page). West Winds has a well established reputation in the community
with landscapers, developers and businesses. We have been members of the
St. Louis Water Garden Society since 2000 and each year has numerous
projects on the Pond-O-Rama tour in June. In addition, our longevity
remains apparent as you can count on seeing a West Winds water garden
display yearly at the St. Louis Home & Garden Show.
Licensed & Insured?
Yes, we are both licensed and insured
What sets West Winds apart from other
landscapers?
1)
West Winds’ passion and specialty is in building waterfalls,
although we do other hardscapes such as patios, walkways, walls and fire
pits. As with any specialist, it gives us the advantage of learning from
past mistakes and running more smoothly.
2) Rarely will a client have the owner of the company personally walk you
through the entire process from start to finish. Todd has been referred
to as an “artist” by several of his clients (see Comments) and takes
pride in customer satisfaction. Having the owner, design and develop
your ideas personally brings them to life with the guarantee of quality
work, honesty and integrity from the top.
3)
West Winds builds “green” waterfalls with a biological
filtration system that is ecofriendly. The filter serves as a habitat for bacteria
and enzymes which consumes nutrition necessary for algae growth. It is
also an area for marginal plantings where root growth aids the
filtration. Mostly, it is not recognizable as a filter,
and appears to be an artisan spring flowing from the earth. For more
