"Our backyard
pond (with a waterfall) had a significant leak and was
losing several inches of water a day. Todd cleaned the pond,
serviced the pump, put a leaf cover over the pond for the
fall months and repaired the leak. He also did maintenance
on a fountain and pump elsewhere in our yard. Todd and his
crew did a wonderful job. They must have needed to return at
least five or six times to finally locate the leak and
repair it adequately as it was not at all obvious where the
problem was. At the end of the day, the pond looks
beautiful, is no longer leaking and looks and works better
than it did to start with. Todd did all the work for the
initial estimated cost despite the need for return trips to
fix what turned out to be a more complicated problem. He and
his crew were extremely professional, friendly and helpful
in working with us and explaining what they were doing each
step of the way. We would hire this company again any day!"

"Todd has a great
eye and knows how to make the outdoors beautiful. He and his
crew were polite and professional. They gladly listened to
our ideas for our yard. The results were amazing and we love
coming home and seeing how pretty the yard looks."

"We had two other
companies out before finding West Winds. The quotes from
both companies were, in my view, uninspired and very
expensive. By sheer word-of-mouth we were pointed to Todd
Rundquist at West Winds Earthscaping. The contrast between
Todd and the "sales people" at the other companies was
remarkable. This is a gentleman who has an obvious love for
the work he does. In example; the other companies had told
us our wish to have water turtles in the garden was
impossible. They couldn't figure out how to combine an
aethestically pleasing design and keep the turtles from
wandering away. It took Todd about five minutes to propose a
beautiful solution that has kept all of the turtles home at
night. He even envisioned an "island" in the middle of the
water garden. The turtles seem to love sunning themselves
there and it adds a nice dimension to the garden. To top it
all off Todd's design was more competively priced than the
others. As with the other companies there was no formal
"contract" specifying X amount of materials with Y amount of
labor. There is a LOT of trust involved in this kind of
construction. West Winds created a wonderful water garden
that we enjoy every day. Equally importantly they did it
on-time and at budget. We give West Winds Earthscaping the
strongest possible recommendation."

"The pump in our
waterfall /fish pond stopped working the night before we
were to leave on vacation. I called Todd from the airport
and asked if he could install a new one. Within 2 days I got
a call back: Todd had been out to the house fixed the
existing pump, and treated the pond for algae. Thank-you,
Todd!"
Pam Handman
"We can't say
enough about Todd. From concept to completion, this wasn't
just a "job" to Todd, it was clearly a passion. We
thoroughly enjoyed the collaborative process, and
appreciated the patience, the insight, and the desire to not
just "install" a pond a fountain, and a rock design, but to
profoundly enhance our living environment. In a remarkably
short period, Todd transformed our space from a home we
enjoy, to an oasis we can't wait to return to."
Mark Anderson
"Todd (owner) was
very prompt with the proposal. His design was perfect for
our needs. Todd and his crew worked on our project every day
of the week until completion. Very happy with the time frame
for completion and the end results are STUNNING! Very
professional and courteous. Todd was always available to
answer our questions. We highly recommend West Winds
Earthscaping, LLC. The end result is not only a new wall,
patio and waterfall, it is a piece of art!"

"We live on a hill and our old retaining wall on the side of
the house was coming down. We called several contractors and
found that West Winds had the best price and the best ideas
for what we could do to re-build the wall even better than
before. Todd (the owner) and his crew showed up right on
schedule. I was glad to see the person who had discussed the
work actually showing up to do the work. I knew Todd was
tuned in to what we wanted done. We'd planned a two-tiered
wall. In the process of doing the job, Todd realized a
three-tiered wall would be better. So he built that for the
previously agreed price. He was more concerned with the
integrity of the job and what would be best for our needs
than he was with doing a little extra work. The new wall
looks fantastic - better than we could have hoped. It was
done on time and on budget. The crew was friendly and Todd
himself was simply fantastic to work with. We couldn't be
happier."
Angie Guinner
"We went into this project with what we
thought were pretty great ideas. Todd graciously took our
ideas, added his artistry and professionalism and came up
with a wonderful, workable plan. He and his crew showed up
when they said they would, worked really hard and were
through with the pond and stream before the house was even
done."
Brooke Atkinson
"This was an absolutely wonderful experience
and we could not recommend Todd and his company more
favorably. The job was done in 3 days and within 5 days of
signing the contract. Even more important than the
expediency of the work, was the professionalism and artistry
of the job and the workmen. They did an awesome job and we
could not be more pleased with the end result. I have worked
with MANY contractors from all trades in the past, but I
have NEVER had a project run as smoothly or in a more
pleasing manner than this experience with Todd. If I could
think of a more positive way to express myself on this, I
would.” (And he did, later in a note to Todd he said):
“You are an artist that strives to do your best in all that
you do and at all times. Because you have correct motives
and you know where your real supply comes from, you have the
right to be compensated “abundantly” for your God given
talents in every aspect of your life and you cannot be
thwarted in your efforts to help those you come in contact
with.
It is SO rare to find a contractor that has the talent,
ability and desire to use what he has to achieve something
special and improve another's quality of life. Thank you
for being one of the few.”
With Kindest Regards,

"Todd and his 2
workers did a beautiful job. Came through with everything he
promised, on time and provided extras (mulch and pond
plants.) Were very professional, careful of our property,
and did a great job of clean up and removal. Don't expect a
detailed, fancy drawing - he doesn't draw but knows exactly
where he's going and gave us exactly what we wanted."
Gail Meyers
"Todd, the owner, Josh &
Caleb were a delight to have at our home. They are amazing 'artists"!
They knew exactly where to place each boulder, rock, etc.! And our
waterfall came out even more fabulous than anticipated!! They were
professional, clean cut, generous and just really fun to have around. We
were actually kind of sad when they were done! Just can't say enough
about them! Highly. highly recommend them!!!. PS, even my dogs liked
them."
Sherry Arviso
"Todd and his crew are amazing! They
transformed our backyard into a paradise. Their work is
professional with an eye for detail and individuality. They
have the expertise to complete the overall project design
without hiring additional contractors for lighting, etc.
They also worked hand in hand with our swimming pool
contractor and pool house construction contractor."

"We
would highly recommend Todd Rundquist (West Winds) to anyone. We wanted
a waterfall and pond that looked natural and beautiful. Todd met our
requirements 100%. Todd was honest, conscientious, hard working and open
to our input. His artistic talent and superior knowledge of
waterfall/pond construction are highly developed and very professional."
Jerry & Bess Langsdorf (on the Pond-O-Rama tour)
"After interviewing several pond builders, we
hired Todd Rundquist, the owner of West Winds Earthscaping,
a company that specializes in building natural looking ponds
and waterfalls.
Todd and his ability to select and install various kinds of
rocks and stones made our backyard ponds and stone ledges
look like they were there all along. It looks so realistic,
you’d never know the rock was all hauled in. We owe that to
Todd’s talent to find certain rocks and then with his
ability to place certain ones just right next to
others. Todd has a very unique skill. He’s an artist with
rocks."
George and Mary Biderman (on the Pond-O-Rama tour)
"It goes without saying
that what you created for my statues at the Drury Hotel made
that installation something the entire city can take
pride in. You are a genius with rock and water! From
one sculptor to another...Thank-you,
Todd."

"Thanks so much for all your hard work. Our
front yard looks fabulous. My morning cup of tea even taste better
sitting by our new water garden. I do think that life is too short for
everyone not to have something like this... everyday feels like a
vacation in our own front yard. Thanks again."
Karen & Buddy Sebastian
"Dear Todd:
Since your work, our
backyard has come to life in ways that we couldn't imagine.
The sounds of the frogs,
and the splashing of the fish...well, I just can't see why we would
ever need to travel for a vacation! The entire project is a dream
come true."Randall & Luanne WaringO'Fallon. MO"The West Winds project, 1st Place Winner of the Great Garden
Contest, was "deemed by contest judges as a
triumph of man over steep slopes in nature."Larry Williams

"Just a
little note, to tell you that we are so pleased with the waterfall.
This is the very best it has ever been and sure no trouble for Don.
(Regarding West Winds redoing another builder’s work)."
